What is an LED...??

LED - Light Emitting Diode

  •     A light-emitting diode is a  two-lead semiconductor diode which glows when a voltage is applied.

  •  An LED consists of two elements of processed material called P-type semiconductors and N-type semiconductors. These two elements are placed in direct contact, forming a region called the  P-N  junction.
  • Modern LED Lamp
  • The LED technology was discovered in 1907 by British radio researcher and assistant to Guglielmo Marconi, Henry Joseph Round.
